The Book.

Published in November 2015 to coincide with the sale of Andy Warhol’s Four Marilyns at Christie’s New York, this special publication is both elegant and electric. Combining aesthetics evocative of Hollywood’s Golden Age and Warhol’s own glowing cadmium orange, Four Marilyns emerges as a brilliant photo essay juxtaposing Monroe’s glamour and Warhol’s unique Pop aesthetic. Echoing the physicality of the painting itself, Four Marilyns is an intimate and concise book featuring an original text about the featured work, a 1971 feature on Andy Warhol first published in New York Magazine, and a brief look into the life of Marilyn Monroe through a selection of quotes and photographs from the famous actress.
